Dr Judith Hey – Specialist Orthodontist
Judith Hey graduated as a dentist from the University of Otago in 1980 and subsequently worked as a Dental House Surgeon in Auckland for two years, followed by 3 years in general dental practice in Auckland and Melbourne. She became a specialist Orthodontist after completing her Masters in Science (Orthodontics) at the Eastman Institute, University of London in 1987. At the same time she obtained a Diploma in Orthodontics from the Royal College of England and subsequently became a member of the Australian College of Dental Surgeons.
Judith spent approximately nine months doing research in the orthodontic department at the University of Iowa in the USA, before returning in late 1988 to commence specialist orthodontic practice in Howick. She has been there ever since and is currently practicing in the group practice of Hey, Bunyan and McAlister.
Judith is an active member of the NZAO, a member of the NZDA, World Federation of Orthodontists, British Orthodontic Society and an International member of the American Association of Orthodontists. On a personal note Judith is married with three adult children and spends her spare time gardening, tramping, traveling and attempting to learn Italian.
